I started my career selling luxury recreational vehicles which helped me realize that my strength lies in making connections with people and forging relationships. When you agree to a buyer’s contract with an agent it’s difficult to know exactly how that relationship will pan out. Every agent will guarantee your happiness when you first meet, but how will they react when things get tough or don’t go the direction you want? Everyone probably knows someone who has an agent or broker horror story. Many times, this is due to people signing generic or one-sided buyer’s agreements that include overly long commitments and protection periods that protect the broker, but not the buyer.
